Miranda looked over at Jack and gave a small shrug. “If we’re lucky Tali can hack into the system and at least get us out," she turned to look out the window. It was lucky that the two had managed to start tolerating each other, otherwise the elevator would be facing its death.
The sun was resting on the city’s skyline, the orange light contrasting with the purple and pink lights that dotted the city. "I don’t recommend trying anything from our end, we’ll either be crushed or stuck in this a lot longer.”
"Stuck?“ The idea of being stuck any longer in this elevator with Miranda made Jack’s stomach curl. She paced the small area between them before looking upward at the ceiling of the carrier. "Nothing our biotics could do without making us crash huh?” Looking off towards the side she saw buttons you could press to take you to your floor destination. Why the hell did Jack decide to listen to Shepard and follow Miranda to begin with? She had rather been with James or Grunt, even Garrus in that case.
“Is it just me or we’re getting short of air supply?” Jack might have been exaggerating but she was beginning to feel claustrophobic, especially after spending some time in a small cylinder casing frozen in time.
